ABOUT ME

My love for sports began when I was around five years old from an unexpected source. I saw enough commercials for Mark McGwire's "Vortex Power Bat" that I eventually convinced my parents to buy me one. Naturally, this led to me becoming a big fan of Mark McGwire and eventually, the St. Louis Cardinals. McGwire retired shortly after, but in a stroke of perfect timing, Albert Pujols came along in Big Mac's last season, and eventually became my favorite athlete ever.

I knew by the time I was in middle school I wanted to work in sports as a career. The original dream job was to be an agent, until my mom informed me I'd probably have to go to law school to make that a reality. Then the mindset shifted to broadcasting, I loved talking about sports and growing up in New York, there were so many phenomenal broadcasters to look up to. Gary Cohen, Mike Breen, Ian Eagle on the play-by-play side, and local legends such as Scott Clark and Bruce Beck on the TV side. I wanted to be just like some of those guys.

Fast forward about 15-20 years, and my love for sports and broadcasting is as strong as ever!

I was never the world’s greatest athlete (to put it lightly), but something I believe has served me well in my career that was instilled in me playing sports growing up: I am extremely competitive. I want to be the absolute best of the best in anything I do in this industry. I also understand that doesn’t happen overnight. I love the process of continuing to perfect my craft day in and day out.

I’m passionate and driven to realize my potential in sportscasting. I’ve always wanted to be a Swiss army-knife in this industry that can execute multiple disciplines at a high-level. My time in Memphis and getting reps in so many different areas has been particularly valuable in that regard. From anchoring/reporting to sideline reporting to calling games, I’ve loved all of the experiences I’ve gained in recent years, and I’m hungry for more of them to continue improving at all of them across the board.
